ML4Good
ML4Good was an eleven-day coding bootcamp for upskilling participants in AI safety.
The camp was quite intense, with sessions running from 9am to 7pm for the entire eleven days. But it was by far one of the opportunities where I learned the most about building responsible technology, as it's rare to get such a deep dive into a safety.
The sessions consisted of longer peer coding sessions as well as talks and discussions on topics such as AI governance, timelines, threat models and more. I really enjoyed the different backgrounds of the participants. Most were from computer science backgrounds, but there were also physicists, policy makers and behavioural scientists, which provided a wide range of perspectives on responsible AI.
I really recommend people interested in responsible AI to join an ML4Goog, you can apply here.
